taking some pictures
Ask a photographer “what is photography for you?” and you’ll get a range of answers—everything and nothing. For me, it’s quite simple: it’s how I remember everything I can’t write or draw. It captures something sublime, a moment that doesn’t—and can’t—exist outside my mind, except in the picture I take. A simple answer, I know.
If I remember correctly, my first camera was a gift for my 14th birthday, and some of the earliest shots I took still stays with me. Soon after, I fell in love with photography and got myself an old, used SLR to get started properly—I was 17 at the time. From there, I upgraded: first to a DSLR, which I later sold, and eventually to the camera I still use today.
I haven’t shot many series—just three so far, which you can explore by clicking on them below. Mostly, I take stand-alone images and try to organize them later. You can browse the full selection by category if you’d like to see more.
